Satellite Source: Sentinel 2A
Mode: Multispectral
Resolution: 10 meter
Image Date & Time: 05-03-2018 1629 UTC

Confidence: High
Issue Date: 05-04-2018

Region: Gulf of Mexico
Location: 28°56'16" N, 88°58'14" W
Coverage Area: 2.12 km^2

Remarks:
Possible Oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed
as oil. The anomaly appears to originate from the destroyed Taylor platform
and measures approximately 1.60 NM long and 0.6 NMI wide, the anomaly
appears dark and gives way to a slivery texture suggesting that this is
oil in sun-glint conditions. Confidence was determined to be high given
that this is a confirmed repeat leak source with an anomaly showing characteristics
of oil.

Uncertainties:
The full extent of the anomaly is unknown due to cloud coverage in the
area.
