Satellite Source: Sentinel 1A
Mode: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV
Resolution: 5x20 meter
Image Date & Time: 05-10-2018 0010 UTC

Confidence: Medium
Issue Date: 05-10-2018

Region: Gulf of Mexico
Location: 29°06'41" N, 91°13'55" W
Coverage Area: 20.55 km^2

Remarks:
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed
as oil. The anomaly measured about 2.5 NM by 2.0 NM, had good contrast
relative to its background and exhibited feathering consistent with winds
that were out of the SE at 5-10 KT; however, there was no point source.
Given the above factors we have MEDIUM confidence in this assessment.

Uncertainties:
Given the proximity to the shoreline, there is a possibility that this
anomaly could be biogenic matter. There is also the possibility that this
anomaly could be a cleaning agent, surfactant or dispersant.
