REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The segmented anomaly extended 13.5 NM in total length by about 1.25 NM wide at its widest point, had good contrast with its background and appeared unnatural. Additionally, feathering consistent with winds out of the WSW at 10 KT was noted in the scene. Segmentation and feathering are hallmarks of a ship bilge dump; however, a point source was not identified. Considering the aforementioned factors, we have MED-HIGH confidence in this assessment.

UNCERTAINTIES: A point source could not be identified. There is a slight possibility that the anomaly could be associated with biogenic matter.
