REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was about 82.30 nmi NW from Mayagüez, Puerto Rico and 22.30 nmi W from the EEZ boundary. It was approximately 10.40 nmi long and approx. 0.24 nmi wide. The dark colored anomaly had well defined edges and a strong contrast against its surrounding environment. It also widen with distance which is a characteristic of a possbile bilge dump. Winds near the time of the image were coming from the ESE at 5 kts. which aligned well with the orientation of the anomaly.


UNCERTAINTIES: I was not able to visibly locate a point source for the anomaly.
