REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil.  The oil slick was linear in shape, had strong contrast against the ocean background, and was likely to have been caused by a bilge dump from a vessel.  The slick was located approximately 43 nmi northeast of Miami, Florida, and approximately 9.6 nmi east of the U.S. EEZ.  The slick was 19.1 nmi long and 0.42 nmi wide at its widest point.  Winds near the time of the image were coming from the north at 8 knots.
