REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly appeared to be emanating from the location of an oil facility located approximately 95 nm S off of Cameron, LA. The possible oil had a sharp contrast against its background, appeared out of place, and was distinguishable from natural phenomena. The slick measured approximately 15.7 nm in length, and 4.3 nm at the widest point. Winds near the time of the image were out of the ESE at 6 kts. Multiple reports of a leak or sheen include NRC# 1396880, 1396924, 1396923, 1396895, and 1396860 were collocated with this anomaly.   

UNCERTAINTIES: While it appears that the anomaly was emanating from the suspected source location, the slick may have originated from multiple source locations as indicated in associated NRC reports.
