REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly had a dark contrast in comparision to the surrounding environment and was distiguishable from natural phenmona. The slick measured approximately 27.4 nm in length and 6.9 nm in width at the widest point. Winds at the time of the image were 10 kts from the SE. This slick was associated with NRC #1397015 and others.


UNCERTAINTIES: While the anomaly appears to be emitting from a suspected point source, the NRC reports the slick may originated from a leak somewhere along a nearby oill pipeline.
