REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The possible oil was located in Mississippi Canyon area (Block #69) of the Gulf of Mexico. The slick extended approximately 25.42 nmi long and measured 0.46 nmi at its maximum width. It appeared dark and stood out well against the background. Winds at the time of image were from the SE at 5 knots. Confidence was determined to be Medium-High given that no specific point source could be identified, and no oil slicks were reported in the area.

UNCERTAINTIES: A specific facility could not be determined as there were some in close proximity in this area.
