NOAA-15, AMSU-A, Channel-11 Problems

At 19:32z , JD 100, 10 April 2002, the AMSU-A channel 11 detector output
changed rendering the data unusable. All readings of Space, Warm Target
and Earth counts are approximately 7195 counts. No other parameters
seem to be affected at this time. SOCC and instrument scientists have
been notified of our observations. We will continue to monitor and
investigate the problem. The user community will be notified of any
changes. Attached is a WordPerfect file produced by Robert Levin that
highlights the problem showing plots of data starting just before the
problem occurred.
