Details/Specifics of Change:
As announced in the notice on March 27, NESDIS will change the NOAA-16
AVHRR to discontinue channel 3a/3b switching. The instrument will be
operated with 3b on at all times. This change in operations will be made
on May 1 around 1600 UTC. Users are reminded that visible/near IR data at
1.6 microns from channel 3a will no longer be available after this change.
