The August CPIDS update of the AVHRR Visible Calibration Coefficients was
performed at 12:00 noon local today.
August 12, 2003. The first orbits processed after the update were:
NSS.GHRR.NL.D03224.S1501.E1647.B1488687.GC
NSS.LHRR.NL.D03224.S1626.E1632.B1488787.GC
NSS.HRPT.NL.D03224.S1649.E1700.B1488787.GC
The new calibration coefficients for NOAA-16 AVHRR Channel 1 & 2 for August
2003 are:
Ch_1_lo = .05303*count - 2.044, count<498.96
Ch_1_hi = 0.1549*count - 52.63, count>498.96
Ch_2_lo = .05745*count - 2.176, count<500.16
Ch_2_hi = 0.1691*count - 57.90, count>500.16
where COUNT is raw 10-bit count. The "switch point" was not changed.
