Details/Specifics of Change:
Previous messages gone out concerning the changes to the 1B format have
mostly referenced changes to be made to NOAA-N. This is a reminder that
changes will affect the NOAA-KLM satellites 1B formats as well. Plans are to
implement new operational algorithms i.e lunar correction, and calibration
that will affect the KLM series as well as NOAA-N. These changes are
expected to be ready for implementation prior to the NOAA-N launch.
Therefore, it is important to review the formats listed on this
website:ftp://metroweb.nesdis.noaa.gov/pub/noaa-n in order to review the
"1B Diff" file. This is a reminder that users should also begin addressing
1B format changes as they affect the KLM series as well. The website
provides the changes to be incorporated in the KLM series as well.
