Details/Specifics of Change:
On 4 December 2007 around 1529 UTC, the Information Processing Division updated the MetOp-2/A yaw-steering algorithm to remove the effects of the pitch and roll components. The effectively corrected the double application of pitch and roll local normal point effects. The user should see an improvement in the geolocation data in the Northern Hemisphere ascending and Southern Hemisphere descending portion of all MetOp-2/A level 1B data. Since this software is also used to generate geolocations for NOAA-15 through 18, there is the possibility that the change could impact this data although we expect them not to be affected. The update began with the following passes.
