POES Level 1B GHA Problem

Date/Time(UTC) Message Issued:
5 January 2004,1900 UTC

Satellite(s) Involved:
ALL

Instrument(s) Involved:
ALL

Product(s) Involved/Affected:
ALL

Date/Time(UTC) of Initial Implementation:
1 January 2004, Time 0000 UTC

Details/Specifics of Change:
When processing crossed into the new year, Greenwich Hour Angle computation
began producing erroneous values. The problem was not detected until
today. This error creates a problem for the navigation data provided in the
level 1B (lat/lon, Keplerian orbit parameters), TBUS (GHA, Longitude,
Brouwer Mean Elements), and SAR ephemeris (Earth Centered Coordinates). We
are investigating the problem. Level 1B processing has been suspended
temporarily.
