Details/Specifics of Change:
On 13 July 2006, operations personnel detected data gross filtering on NOAA-17 Space view counts for channels 1 & 2. The Lower Limits were beginning to be exceeded and data flagged as not usable on day 194 around 0100 UTC. In collaboration with the instrument scientist, to correct this problem the lower limits were adjusted as indicated below
Ch1 LL = 11,747 changed to new value 10,500
Ch2 LL= 12,003 changed to new value 11,000
The update to NOAA-17 CPIDS Gross Limits was put into NOAA operations at approximately 1530 UTC time. The first orbits processed after the change are listed below.
