At 14:25:04Z (UTC) of March 12, 2010, the NOAA-18 MHS entered its spin state. The spacecraft was in the middle of its night time (from 14:13-14:46 UTC) over the Pacific Ocean at 16N, 172E. A recovery procedure from the MHS spin state was successfully executed at 16:30:11Z during the immediately following call-up pass 24782 at Fairbanks.

The MHS instrument is now operating in normal Scan Mode.
