Details/Specifics of Change:
The NOAA/NESDIS Office of Satellite Operations has announced the following:
On 10 November at 003920z, rev 23052, the Satellite Operations Control Center (SOCC) will change the HRPT transmitter on NOAA-18 from STX2 to STX3 (note STX3 is RHCP). SOCC will change the HRPT transmitter on NOAA-18 after it emerges from the conflict period with NOAA-19. The current configuration for NOAA-18 is: Primary playback on STX-4 (2247.5 MHz, LHCP) and HRPT on STX-2 (1702.5 MHz, LHCP). The configuration for NOAA-18 after 10 Nov 2009 will be: Primary playback on STX-1 (1698 MHz, RHCP) and HRPT on STX-3(1707 MHz, RHCP).
