Topic: Jason-2 Interleaved Long
Repeat Orbit (LRO) maneuvers July 16 and 18, 2018
Date Issued: July 17, 2018
Product(s) or Data Impacted: Jason-2
Operational Geophysical Data Records (OGDRs)
Date/Time of Expected End: TBD
Length of Event: Any impact to products would be 30 minutes before and up to 2 hours following the maneuver.
Details/Specifics of Change: A
Jason-2 Interleaved Long Repeat orbit (LRO) maneuver is scheduled
for 16-July-2018 starting at 0234Z. There will be an expected
change of -250 m in the semi-major axis, possibly resulting in
large radial orbit errors in the OGDRs. The second maneuver will
occur 18-July-2018 (exact time TBD) with an expected change of
+250 m (TBC) in the semi-major axis, possibly resulting in large
