Product(s) or Data Impacted: All products from AMSU-A, ASCAT, ATOVS, GOME-2, GRAS, IASI, MHS, SEM, in the Metop Global Data Service and Regional Data Service, will not be available. The AVHRR GDS Level 1 products and AVHRR regional data from Metop-B will be temporarily degraded.

Details/Specifics of Change: A MetOp-B unplanned Collision Avoidance Maneuver will be performed September 28, 2018 (JDAY 271), preheating beginning at 1101 UTC with the maneuver ending at 1232 UTC that same day.

This maneuver is to avoid collision with FENGYUN 1C Debris (31440).

The SEM instrument will be placed into Maneuver Mode at TBD on September 28, 2018 and returned back to its Normal Operating Mode at TBD that same day.

Data from the outage period will not be recovered nor distributed.
