Update #2: The degradation of L1B and derived products and their distribution to PDA continues. It is continued to be investigated.

Update #1:TheGOES-16 ABI was switched back to Mode-3 at 1549Z. The quality of GOES-16 ABI Full Disk CMI derived products is expected to improve with this change. With the return to Mode-3, it was noted that the timeline was off by 5 minutes. The timeline was corrected at 1645Z.

Details/Specifics of Change:The following GOES-16 Full Disk products were/are of degradedquality: Aerosol Optical Depth degraded starting at 0000Z, Cloud Top Height degradedstarting at 0115Z, Cloud Top Pressure degraded starting at 0115Z, Cloud Top Temperature degraded starting at 0115Z, Derived Stability Indicesdegraded starting at 0015Z, Fire Hot Spot degraded from 0155Z to 0755Z, Fractional Snow Cover degraded starting at 0945Z, Legacy Vertical Moisture degraded starting at 0015Z, Legacy Vertical Temperature degraded starting at 0015Z, Total Precipitable Water degraded starting at 0015Z,Volcanic Ash degraded starting at 0000Z. The degradation of GOES-16 ABI Full Disk CMI derived products, inABI Mode 4, are due to an anomaly. These products were andare being delivered to PDA.
