With installation of NDE release 2.0.15 NOAA-20 EDRs will be operational
The installation is planned to be done during back orbits. NDE will not be ingesting, processing or distributing data during installation. No data loss expected, but there will be a possible backlog of processing when installation is complete.
Algorithm changes are as follows:
NOAA-20 MiRS
This release extends MiRS v11r3 capability to provide NOAA-20 products. All NOAA-20 MiRS products, except snowfall rate (SFR), have passed their provisional maturity review and have been operational. The NOAA-20 SFR is still in Beta, and will become operational sometime after it passes the provisional maturity review.
Although PDA short names remain the same as those of S-NPP, the MiRS IMG and SND files are updated to replace 'snppM-bM-^@M-^\ with "n20" as follows:
NPR-MIRS-IMG_v11r3_n20_* (PDA short name: MIRS_ATMS_IMG)
NPR-MIRS-SND_v11r3_n20_* (PDA short name: MIRS_ATMS_SND)
NPR-MIRS-IMG_33min_v11_n20_* (PDA short name: NPR-MIRS-IMG_33min_v11)
NPR-MIRS-SND_33min_v11_n20_* (PDA short name: NPR-MIRS-SND_33min_v11)
NPR-MIRS-IMG_v11r3_n20_*.tar (PDA shortname: BUNDLED_NUPS_MIRS_ATMS_IMG)
NPR-MIRS-SND_v11r3_n20_*.tar (PDA shortname: BUNDLED_NUPS_MIRS_ATMS_SND)

This release includes VIIRS I1, I2, I3, I5 and NCC GeoTIFF products for the J1 satellite & NIC's regions of interest.
NOAA-20 JPSS Risk Reduction Products
This release includes NOAA-20 VIIRS Cloud Mask, Cloud Phase/Type, Cloud Daytime Cloud Properties (DCOMP), Cloud Height (Top and Base), Aerosol Optical Depth and Particle Size, Aerosol Detection, and Volcanic Ash have reached provisional maturity and will be available for public access from PDA. Additionally, NOAA-20 Aerosol Optical Depth will also be available in both BUFR format and NetCDF.
NOAA-20 OMPS V8TOz and V8TOS
This release includes NOAA-20 OMPS V8TOz and V8TOS have passed Provisional Maturity, been declared operational, and will be available for public access from PDA.
NOAA-20 NUCAPS
This release includes NOAA-20 CrIS high resolution of Sensor Data Records (SDR) to include the Cloud Mask and Cloud Height information. In addition, it also includes the NOAA-20 NUCAPS Environmental Data Records (EDR) for Temperature, Water Vapor and Ozone profiles, Outgoing Long Wave Radiations (OLR) as well as trace gases. NUCAPS trace gases include the Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), and Methane (CH4) data products.
Note: To subscribe the AWIPS products from PDA use the following short names that have been changed for the WMO regions IUTN01 M-bM-^@M-^S ITUN09.
