Date/Time of Initial Impact: May 21, 2019 1700Z

Date/Time of Expected End:N/A

Length of Event:N/A (change is permanent)

Details/Specifics of Change: The PDA CBU backup environment will depreciate Transport Layer Security (TLS) version 1.0. FTPS users will only be able to connect using TLS version 1.1 or greater. The same change is expected in the PDA operational environment in the next one to two weeks when not in critical weather.FTPS connections must be configured to encrypt the control channel only. They should not be configured to encrypt the data channel. Users who push data to CBU or pull data from CBU will be impacted if they are not supporting TLS 1.1 or greater.Pull users should try to connect to CBU, but since CBU is not active there will not be data available to pull. If you would like us to provide a test file to pull, please request by sending an email to PDA_DHS@noaa.gov.
