Update #2: Engineering commanded CrIS SSM recovery during Svalbard 51562 and completed the CrIS SSM Safe Mode recovery at 09 Oct 2021 16:50Z .  The total CrIS data outage was from 13:01Z to 16:50Z or 3 hours 49 minutes.  CrIS is restored to nominal operations.  S-NPP is nominal.

Details:  For the NPP contact 51560, AOS at 1320z operations received multiple ALARMS that the CRiS instrument was in Safe Mode. There will be no CRiS SMD data until the instrument is operational. The Instrument Engineer was contacted.
