Details/Specifics of Change: 

The next Interface Data Processing Segment (IDPS) Block 2.3 maintenance release Mx3 (IDPS Mx I2.3.03.00) is scheduled to transition to operations on July 28, 2021. 


Algorithm Updates in IDPS Mx 3 release include::

NOAA-20 OMPS Nadir Profile In-Band Stray Light Correction


OMPS-NP SDR code change and corresponding Straylight LUT update to implement a solar intrusion correction to address an issue with in-band stray light seen in NOAA-20 OMPS Nadir Profiler (NP) data.

 

Please note: This release will not occur during a Critical Weather Day (CWD).


The contents of this release are subject to change based on user readiness, customer feedback, and management approval. Additional ESPC notifications may provide further details and updates concerning this release.
