ESPC plans to update Hazard Mapping System (HMS) by July 19, 2022. The new version of HMS will include changes of file names and contents listed in the table below. NESDIS will collect user feedback for 30 days following the issuance of this notification. If you have any concerns, please provide your comments to the corresponding Product Area Leads (PALs) and User Services by June 30, 2022.

* The “prelim” suffix currently found in the near real-time (same day) filenames will no longer be used as part of the new filename strings. The short names are HMS_Prelim-text; HMS_Preliminary_Fire-shapefile-zip and HMS_Preliminary_Smoke-shapefile-zip.
