Update # 3 - Final Update: Cloud products returned to normal operation at 1330Z. These products were monitored until 2100Z to ensure image quality.


Update #2: Intermittent degradation continues to occur in the aforementioned products as recently as 1020Z and 1120Z. Product Engineers are working to resolve the issue.


Update #1: All products affected by the anomaly returned to normal operations on June 03, 2022 around 0400Z. A fix is being implemented to stop future occurrences.

Length of the Outage/Event:  2 days, 1 hour and 40 minutes

Details/Specifics of Change: GOES-16 Aerosol Detection, Aerosol Optical Depth, All Cloud Products, Derived Stability Indices, Legacy Vertical Moisture, Legacy Vertical Temperature, Sea Surface Temperature, Total Precipitable Water, Windbarbs Full Disk products delivered to PDA. The intermittent L2 Full Disk product outages are occurring at random. Outages so far have occurred for 1150Z, 1210Z and 1320Z images.The root cause of the ground anomaly is under investigation.
