Update #3: Following an unforeseen hardware anomaly that extended the outage, the network maintenance work for Day 2 has completed and distribution to PDA has been restored. GOES-16 products delivered to PDA were interrupted from 1755Z to 1925Z, and again from 2003Z to 2130Z. In addition, data not delivered to PDA during the outages from day 1 and day 2 will not be backfilled.


Update #2: Distribution of GOES-16 products to PDA has been restored as of November 16, 2022 at 2111Z. Work for day 2 will continue as scheduled.


Update #1: Due to the occurrence of an anomaly during planned system maintenance, the delay of GOES-16 products delivered to PDA is still ongoing. Work is currently underway to identify the root cause and resolve the issue.

Details/Specifics of Change: On November 16th & 17th, planned GOES-R network maintenance will require a shutoff of distribution of GOES-16 products to PDA for 20 minutes. Once the distribution is restarted, missed data will be retransmitted to PDA. While the plan is to backfill the data produced during this period, the potential exists for a loss of the data produced during this time and lack of availability from PDA.
