Details/Specifics of Change:

 

From April 8, 2022 through April 29, 2022, the operational setpoint of  GOES-17 ABI will be adjusted to mitigate the impacts of the elevated focal plane module (FPM) temperatures on imagery and maintain the maximum nominal hours of water vapor imagery.  See GOES-17 ABI Saturation Prediction Reference Tools for more background information.  


The following table summarizes the adjustments to setpoint throughout the April warm period (changes to setpoint are performed at 1500 UTC):
