Detail: Meteosat-9 is planned to take over Meteosat-8 as the prime satellite for the IODC service from 1 June 2022. Its drift towards the 45.5°E target longitude will start on 1 February 2022, with the first drift manoeuvre scheduled at 06:00 UTC, followed by a second manoeuvre 12 hours later, at 18:00 UTC. The drift rate will be of ~0.5 deg/day until Meteosat-9 reaches the target longitude (current planned drift stop date is 20 April 2022). From 1 February 2022, Meteosat-9 will no longer be used as backup satellite for the Full Earth Scan Service and will no longer provide RSS gap-filling during Meteosat-10 RSS interruptions. Detail: Extra transponder measurements for Sentinel-3A SRAL: Starting 14/04/2022 18:16:37, Sentinel-3A will start using a transponder site in Catalina, USA. To conduct this transponder pass, the on-board DEM (Digital Elevation Model) altitude value must be temporarily updated in RAM to align with the transponder site elevation, and is reverted immediately after the pass. A short outage immediately before and after the pass will be introduced, and data should be considered degraded as per non-nominal acquisition mode, for a total duration of approx. 24 seconds over the transponder location (33° 26' 48.0934644" North latitude and 118° 28' 46.9879428" West longitude) for all relative orbits number (RON) 140 (as it can be seen in the product filename) - from cycle 84 (inclusive) onwards.
