On December 9, 2022, the ABI Level 2+ Enterprise Fractional Snow Cover (FSC) Algorithm was deployed into Operations on the GOES-R Ground System via software build PR.11.03.00. That same day the Enterprise Fractional Snow Cover product passed its Provisional maturity review and was made available in PDA starting on Dec. 12, 2022
The ABI Enterprise Fractional Snow Cover Product produces an estimation of snow fraction per pixel over land under clear-sky conditions.
