Details/Specifics
of Change: EUMETSAT has reported an anomaly with the MHS instrument onboard
Metop-B. An investigation is on-going but no estimates have been
made available for restoration. All data from the Metop-B MHS instrument
will be unavailable for the duration. These include:
MHS Level 1
ATOVS Sounding products
EARS-ATOVS
EARS-IASI
MHS AHRPT
In addition, there may be some degradation to
blended products. This degradation should be minimal as the other
satellites uses (including Metop-C) are still available:
Blended Rain Rate
Ensemble Tropical Rainfall Potential (eTrap)
Microwave Integrated Retrieval System (MIRS)
Total Precipitable Water (TPW)
