Update #2:  KaTX functionality on NOAA-21 for SMD was restored at 21:55 UTC on Aug 11, 2023.  SMD data will start to be available from MCM at 22:37 UTC.  Engineering expects all data between 14:59 UTC to 22:37 UTC to be recovered by 04:29 UTC Aug 12, 2023 at SVL.

Note:  NOAA-21 at present is a tertiary spacecraft, NOAA-20 is our primary spacecraft for SMD data.

Update #1:  After further investigation, the NOAA-21 spacecraft KaTX entered a non-nominal state at ~15:43 UTC on Aug 11, 2023. NOAA-21 SMD data over the next several contacts will experience latency.  Engineering will continue recovery over the next two contacts (Rev 3895[20:03:15 - 20:14:22]UTC, Rev 3896 [21:45:11 - 21:58:13]UTC).  Mission data should resume after the second contact.  Recovery of past missing data will continue into the evening over the next few contacts.

Note: The HRD community was not impacted by this anomaly.
