ATMS was placed in operational mode at 15:47 UTC on Nov 2, 2023. OMPS was placed in operational mode at 17:56Z on Nov 2, 2023. CERES was placed in operational mode at 17:56Z on Nov 2, 2023. VIIRS was placed in operational mode at 16:09Z on Nov 2, 2023. CrIS is expected to be fully activated by Friday Nov 3, 2023.
Users are advised S-NPP data is undergoing further evaluation by Cal/Val science teams.
While S-NPP High Rate data (HRD) is enabled, Direct broadcast (DB) users are advised that this S-NPP science data is not yet cleared for operational use.
PDA OPS subscriptions for all S-NPP science products have been disabled as of 20:00 UTC, Nov 1, 2023. All missed data will not be recoverable (after the 14:56 UTC Nov 1, 2023 observation time). The NOAA-20 and NOAA-21 satellites will continue to provide JPSS science data as the primary and tertiary satellites, respectively.
