Update #2 - Final Update: All GOES-18 CMI and L2+ Cloud Products have returned to a nominal state effective Dec 18, 2023 1930Z. Details of anomaly impacts are as follows.
Dec 16-17, 2023 2240-0050Z (130 min) CMI Full Disk bands 3,4,9-16 for PDA.
Dec 16-18, 2023 2240-1930Z (45 hours) CMI Full Disk bands 1,6 for PDA.
Dec 16-18, 2023 2240-1930Z (45 hours) Full Disk L2+ All Cloud Products, Aerosol Detection, Aerosol Optical Depth, Fractional Snow Cover, Derived Stability Indices, Sounding, Land Surface Temperature, Legacy Vertical Moisture, Legacy Vertical moisture reduced level, Reflected Shortwave Radiation, Sea Surface Temperature, Derived Motion Winds. Additionally, the Fire & Hot Spot products were degraded for the same time period for PDA. Related CONUS and MDS domains for these products were unaffected by this anomaly.
Update #1: The following Full Disk L2 products went out at 2240z: All Cloud Products, Aerosol Detection, Aerosol Optical Depth, Fractional Snow Cover, Derived Stability Indices, Sounding, Land Surface Temperature, Legacy Vertical Moisture, Legacy Vertical moisture reduced level, Reflected Shortwave Radiation, Sea Surface Temperature, Derived Motion Winds. CMI Full Disk bands 1, 3, 4, 6, 9-16 were also lost. However CMI Full disk returned at 0050z on all bands except bands 1 & 6 which remain out.
