Details/Specifics of Change:

The SNPP/N20/N21 VIIRS Cloud Height patch, N20/N21 CrIS BUFR with VIIRS Radiance Cluster (VRC) patch, MetOp-B/C IASI BUFR, SNPP/N20/MetOp-C Hyper-Spectral Enterprise Algorithm Package (HEAP) upgrade patch will be implemented to the NESDIS Common Cloud Framework (NCCF). The SNPP/N20/N21 OMPS SO2 Corrected Version 8 Total Ozone (V8TOs), SNPP/N20/N21 OMPS Nadir Profiler (NP) and BUFR, MetOp-B/C Advanced SCATterometer (ASCAT) Ultra High Resolution (UHR) wind, MetOp-C HEAP IASI upgrade with tailored products for AWIPS, and blended Soil Moisture Operational Product System (SMOPS) products are being migrated from on-prem systems to NCCF. The test products are available on PDA I&T now. Users can start subscribing to these data products from PDA I&T. The test data product short names are appended with “_TEST”.

The updates for existing VIIRS cloud height, CrIS BUFR and HEAP products will be released from PDA OPS on January 31, 2024. All of the new products will be released from PDA OPS on February 7, 2024. The on-prem SMOPS and ASCAT UHR will be retired 60 days after the NCCF SMOPS and ASCAT UHR are in operation. 

N21 Ice Age and Snow Cover products reach the provisional maturity and will be open to the public.

SNPP/N20/N21 ATMS RDR/TDR/SDR will pass through NCCF to PDA.
