Details/Specifics of Change: On May 22, 2024, the PR.13.06.00 software update will be put into operations on the GOES-R Ground System. This release will make changes to the netCDF file compression settings for the Space Weather (SpWx) L1b products, which will result in a significant reduction in the data volume for many of the distributed products. No content or file structure changes are being made to the SpWx L1b products with this update. The table below provides the percent reduction users can expect on a per-product basis.
