The MiRS break (patch) fix (METOP - B/C) and GAASP (GCOM W1) pre-processor patch products are being updated on October 30, 2024. The Land Surface Temperature (LST), Land Surface Albedo (LSA), Enterprise Rain Rate (eRR) L3, GOES-R DMW BUFR, and AiDT are new to PDA and NCCF, and will be promoted to PDA OPS on November 6, 2024.

Updated products included in this release are:

Operational product generation of MiRS break fix (patch) (METOP - B/C)

Impact on users: NO

PDA short names and file names: NO Changes

List of Scientific Changes: Quality will be properly flagged when AMSUA and/or MHS channels are bad or missing

Operational product generation of GAASP (GCOM1) PRE-PROCESSOR patch

Impact on users: No

PDA short names and file names: No Change

New products included in this release are:

Operational product generation of Land Surface Temperature (LST) and Land Surface Albedo (LSA) Product Upgrade in NCCF

Impact on users: No 

PDA short names and file names:  No change on PDA short names. The file version was changed from v1r4 to v2r2.

List of Scientific Changes:  NOAA-21 was added in this update. 

Operational product generation of the eRR (enterprise Rain Rate) L3 Product in NCCF:

Impact on users: No

PDA short names and file names: 

List of Scientific Changes: New Products. Those are blended geostationary-satellite products, including GOES-16, -18, Himawari-9 and Meteosat-9, -10.
