Details/Specifics On December 11, 2024, NOAA-21 will perform a spacecraft attitude maneuver for the VIIRS Lunar Calibration, with a roll of -10.09 degrees centered at 12:03:56Z. Science data may be impacted while the spacecraft is pointing off-nadir during the attitude maneuver.  The timeline of events for this maneuver are provided below.


The following observatory systems will be affected on 2024 December 11:

11:58:54Z – 12:10:56Z HRD will be off, data for direct broadcast users will be unavailable
11:58:24Z – 12:11:27Z VIIRS encoder offset and gain will be set for Moon observation
11:58:56Z – 12:10:56Z NOAA-21 will be pointing off-nadir, collected data may be impacted and not disseminated.
