Update #3: Between April 08, 2026 and April 12, 2026, the ATMS Dwell test will be executed out of the spacecraft DAS. The first command will be sent at 12:20:20z on April 08, 2026 during Rev 74855. The test will conclude at 14:21:15z on April 12, 2026 during Rev 74913. During this test period the data collection sequence will become erratic, and science data will be unavailable for operational use. This science data will not be recoverable.

Update #2:  As of March 04, 2026, the VIIRS Day-Night Band (DNB) Focal Plane Annealing test, VIIRS Mid-Mission Outgassing (MMOG) test, and TCS Propellant Tank Heater Setpoints Test will not be conducted. If these tests are rescheduled, an updated ESPC notice will be issued.

The ATMS Dwell test was added to this test schedule April 8, 2026 through April 13, 2026. The new schedule is shown below

Update #1: On February 25, 2026, the ATMS Video Test will temporarily enable diagnostic packets to allow ATMS timing, synchronization data, and Video test channel data to be transmitted. This test will generate additional diagnostic data over one orbit between rev #74262 with AOS 16:54:57 UTC and rev #74263 with AOS 18:33:16 UTC. This test has no impact on ongoing science observations.

OSPO will be conducting a series of tests on Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (S-NPP). These activities are timed to ensure no interference with the 2026 hurricane season, which spans June 1, 2026 - November 30, 2026.
