REMARKS:

Suspected oil located in the Gulf of Mexico 60.4 miles SE from Galveston, TX. Suspected point source appears to be from a ship moving towards the south. Suspected oil slick is broken into two segments which likely could be caused by a ship traveling eastward that bisected the possible slick. The southern segment is 10.5 miles in length and the northern segment is 14.5 miles in length. Winds are mostly calm and out of the NW, which is agreeable with the feathering to the west seen in both segments of the slick. Conditions are mostly clear and unobstructed from cloud cover.
