REMARKS:

Possible oil sheen identified in satellite imagery located 225 miles southeast of Galveston, TX or 297 miles due south of Lake Charles in the western Gulf of Mexico.  Sheen is estimated to be 11 km long and 1.3 miles at its widest point. Sheen has silvery appearance in sun glint along with classic feathering signature.  Based on moderates 10-15 kt easterly winds due not believe this could be associated with nearby known natural oil seep and therefore confidence is medium-high.
