REMARKS:

A segmented 16 mile long oil slick was seen emanating from the destroyed Taylor platform. Airplane condensation trails prevented positively identifying the slick in the immediate vicinity of the destroyed platform. In additional to these contrails, other false positives seen in the image include an extensive convergence zone and the shadows of the contrails.

Sky conditions were partly cloudy at the time and winds were 5 knots or less from the west and west-northwest.
