REMARKS:

An oil slick extended a total of 13.5 nmi from the destroyed Taylor platform. The slick extended south for approximately 5 nmi before turning to the east and extending up to an additional 8.5 nmi. Sky conditions were mostly clear at the time of the image and winds were out of the north-northwest at 5-10 knots. The eastern portion of the slick was broken by a ship wake; and just east of the bend a convergence line extended to the south of the slick. Biogenic material was detected in the convergence line and along the southern extent of the slick.
