Satellite Source: Sentinel 1A
Mode: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV
Resolution: 5x20 meter
Image Date & Time: 06-25-2018 2328 UTC

Confidence: Medium
Issue Date: 06-26-2018

Region: Atlantic Ocean
Location: 25°33'07" N, 79°41'01" W
Coverage Area: 6.45 km^2

Remarks:
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed
as oil. The suspected point source and some of the anomaly were outside
the U.S. EEZ. The anomaly stretched a total of 15.75 nautical miles and
appeared to emanate from the suspected point source. The anomaly showed
decent contrast with the ocean background, with the exception of its northern
boundary. Surface winds were from the South/Southeast around 10 knots
at the time of the image. Confidence is deemed to be Medium given the
anomaly does not really widen with distance which is a known characteristic
associated with bilge dumps.

Uncertainties:
The anomaly could be a ship wake.
