This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The suspected point source and some of the anomaly were outside the U.S. EEZ. The anomaly stretched a total of 15.75 nautical miles and appeared to emanate from the suspected point source. The anomaly showed decent contrast with the ocean background, with the exception of its northern boundary. Surface winds were from the South/Southeast around 10 knots at the time of the image. Confidence is deemed to be Medium given the anomaly does not really widen with distance which is a known characteristic associated with bilge dumps. UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly could be a ship wake.
