This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly was connected to a repeat leak source wreck 1487, which was located about 68 nm south of Nantucket Island. The narrow oil slick was 6.9 nm long, and had a sliver appearance due to sunglint. The shape of the anomaly was not rounded, and it was distinguishable from the surrounding area. Confidence is high due to its characteristics and connection to a repeat leak source. UNCERTAINTIES: Due to the low wind area in the region, a more precise areal measure could not be attained.
