Satellite Source: Sentinel 2A
Mode: Multispectral
Resolution: 10 meter
Image Date & Time: 06-27-2018 1628 UTC

Confidence: High
Issue Date: 06-28-2018

Region: Gulf of Mexico
Location: 28°56'16" N, 88°58'14" W
Coverage Area: 6.05 km^2

Remarks:
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed
as oil. The anomaly is associated with the Destroyed Taylor Platform a
known repeat leak source and extended 24 NM long by 0.05 NM wide at its
widest point. Furthermore, some feathering was evident near the point
source which was consistent with the 5-10 KT winds out of the SW at the
time of the image. Given the above factors we have HIGH confidence in
this assessment.

Uncertainties:
There are no uncertainties.
