Satellite Source: Sentinel 1A
Mode: Interferometric Wide (IW) VV
Resolution: 5x20 meter
Image Date & Time: 07-02-2018 2321 UTC

Confidence: Medium
Issue Date: 07-03-2018

Region: Atlantic Ocean
Location: 32°38'22" N, 79°44'37" W
Coverage Area: 16.04 km^2

Remarks:
Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed
as oil. Multiple possible sources congregated at the NE portion of the
discontinuous slick that lay within an approximate 7 NM by 4 NM footprint.
Winds were out of the NE at the time of the image correlating well with
the general orientation of the anomaly. Given the above factors we have
MEDIUM confidence in this assessment.

Uncertainties:
This anomaly could be biogenic material, perhaps associated with fishing/
chumming operations.
