REMARKS: Possible oil was observed in satellite imagery. This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. The anomaly is believed to be an oil slick that was associated with NRC #1218078. The linear anomaly was approximately 2.80 nm N-S and 0.12 in width. The dark anomaly had a large contrast to its homogeneous surrounding and there were no sign of natural phenomena. 


UNCERTAINTIES: The NRC report mentioned was from 2018-07-11. Although the coordinates provided in the NRC report were associated to an oil facility, the anomaly in the image did not directly connect to it. Also, wind and ocean current data did not support the orientation of the oil slick. It was uncertain which environmental conditions influenced the anomaly's orientation.
