This anomaly is unconfirmed as oil. It was located approximately 95 nmi ENE away from McAllen, TX. The anomaly was 1.2 nmi long by 0.15 nmi wide. It widened with increasing distance and exhibited bright silvery appearance in sunglint using high resolution imagery. The direction of the anomaly is consistent with ocean current models near the time of the image. UNCERTAINTIES: The anomaly has no obvious point source and there were no oil platforms or vessels seen nearby.
